I had some "chocolate", which is apparently the best kind of candy, at least according to the large striped cat selling them. I want to record down my experience...

it was...sort of soft, and not too sweet. The inside was sweeter, though it was the same color, and it melted on my hands. It did not taste at all like the medicine drink Aegir gave me, but I think I liked it.

I am thinking about leaving the Emerald City. I don't think we will be able to find Sarah, or the others who may or may not be missing. But I won't go back to the castle.

I don't think I belong there.

I don't know where I'll stay, really, but since I've heard about the Valentine's Day, I might come visit everyone...to give out candy. I've never tried it, but it's supposed to be very good. I could even try some today I guess...

I like this idea of a day celebrating friendship and love...Orokos didn't have that. It seems like Orokos didn't have much of anything, except evil and pain.

It's like I'm just learning how to speak again...

Dear Hamah, um, please protect Aegir while he is in the Northern Woods. He is a very good friend, and a very good person, and he doesn't deserve to go mad forever or die. I mean, you probably know that, since you're his God, so I'm probably just repeating things you already know...but. Um, please protect him. He's teaching me about religion and life and you, and I have a lot to learn, and I'd be...so grateful if I saw him again. And he's a comfort to his sister, who believes in you, and he's a very nice person.

Thank you.

I am on the Doctor's ship, the TARDIS. It is amazing. There is a big cylinder of light, with a console around it, that I think powers the ship. I think it is actually very large, even though it is small on the outside.

Aegir, Rose, Doctor, and four others are here. There is the woman with the blueish hair, a tall man, a person I think is Yuuta (?) and another woman.

...I hope Johanna and Aiko are okay.

A small island filled to the brim with the populace. Surrounded by dangerous machines called Skimmers, no one has gotten in or out of Orokos for centuries.
Similarly, for centuries the city has been plauged by probability storms, which do just what their name implies - change reality. People who are struck by the storms wake up with different colored eyes, buildings are rearranged, horrors and miracles happen.
Along with the storms come the Revenants. Energy-ghosts, invisible to the naked eye, they kill with a touch and possess the body. These possessed people, known as the Taken, destroy anything having to do with the Protectorate - the government of Orokos.
Led by the Patrician and assisted by the Secret Police, the Protectorate keeps as much order as possible in a city of changes. Their soldiers combat the Revenants, evacuate disaster areas caused by storms, and make sure those in the various ghettos - the poor, the ill, the convicted - stay away from the upstanding citizens.
The ghetto-folk are branded so they can never escape from their stigma. Caught outside of their ghetto, they are taken away, never to be seen again. Prospects are not given to them.

Enter famous toymaker, Cretch. One night after a probability storm he finds a shivering, huddled mass at his doorstep. Despite his sour disposition, he takes the humanoid in. The creature - the golem Vago - becomes his assistant and lives in the top of the tower, where he talks to the one painting in the entire place and is teased constantly by Cretch's granddaughter, Ephemera. He is a fairly good assistant - willing to learn, with strong dextrous hands. And if he makes a mistake, he is beaten.
Four months after he comes to live with Cretch, a seabird flies through Vago's window. It dies from colliding into a pipe, but Vago can tell that it is still beautiful. He knows that he himself is ugly, a horrid monstrosity...but he likes the bird. He keeps it around his neck on a string.

A few days after, he is working with an irritable Cretch. Accidentally breaking something, he is beaten with a cane by the toymaker - but Vago can stand it no longer. Dark feelings arise in him - he fears them - and this day they take control. His fingers close around Cretch's neck.
It is Ephemera who stops him. She screams - and suddenly he realizes where he is. He cares about Cretch, even though the old man can be cruel, and he loosens his grip.
Vago flees, knowing that he will be punished more harshly than ever, and sets foot outside of the tower for the first time in his life. The citizens quickly spot him and, afraid and disgusted, stone him. He escapes, pursued by Protectorate soldiers, across the city, until finally he manages to lose them by jumping off a bridge.

He does not die. He is tougher than that, for reasons he does not understand.

Two ghetto kids, Rail and Moa, stumble upon him. The teenagers have found Fade science - from long ago, when Orokos was beautiful and mysterious - and have used it to escape. Moa, kindhearted, takes Vago in, partly because of the bird he is still wearing as a pendant - it is like none she has ever seen before, and she thinks it is from outside of Orokos. The three decide to travel to Kilatas - an underground community of rebels, where the Protectorate has no control. On the way, they discover that enemies from the ghetto are following them, and to lose them, they travel across a district infested with Revenants.
Vago handles battles with the Revenants suprisingly well - almost as though he was made for it. But he cannot prevent one from attacking him and Moa, who he is carrying. A touch can kill - he, somehow, is alive, but Moa...

The heartbroken Rail manages to get them out and on their way to Kilatas. They carry Moa's body with them, as Rail insists - and suddenly they realize that she has not been killed as they thought. What is wrong with her, they can't tell - and neither can those at Kilatas. Thankfully, she awakens after a while of rest in the underground town. She and Vago are still puzzled as to how she could have survived the touch of a Revenant, but Vago has a hunch. When the Revenant touched him...he thinks he might've absorbed it somehow.

"Then you saved me," Moa replies.
"I don't know how I did it."
"Still," the caring girl says, "thank you." She tells him that the two of them should stick together. After all, they're both outcasts, and Vago isn't scary, like he thinks he is.
Moa is the only person ever to show him kindness. He adores her - she is so wonderful - but then Rail reenters the scene. Rail, who is like family to Moa - Vago can never hope to be better than him. He is not needed.

Now that Moa is well, he has no need to stay here. He goes to find his maker - one of the only things he can remember - a name, Tukor Kep. He searches the city for this man until the Secret Police catch up to him. The head of the Police has something important to tell him - he is Tukor Kep.

Somehow he knows that the man, Bane, is right. He allows Bane to take him to the seat of the government's power, to learn who he really is.

What Bane tells him is not comforting. He was a ghetto man, captured by the Protectorate. Before processing him, they asked if he would volunteer for an experiment of theirs - they would turn him into a super-soldier, capable of defeating the Revenants once and for all. They had trained him, and then finally they augmented his body into what he is now. In the process, he retreated into himself - losing his memory.

"I want to live. That's what you said. This was your act of redemption."
"Redemption? Redemption for what?"
"Don't you remember?"
Tukor Kep was a murderer.
(to be continued)
Personality: Curiousity may have killed the cat, but it hasn't gotten the golem yet.
Skills: Coming soon

In Wonderland
Vago arrived in Wonderland during the Empty Children episode. He floated to shore near the Black Pearl and was rescued by Tendou Souji.

His network device is in his eye.

He is currently tinkering around in the castle, keeping on eye on Sara.

Friends - Sara Altman, Tendou Souji, Aegir Kordan, The Doctor, Rose Tyler, Aki Kelso
Enemies - he's a bit scared of Jan Valentine.
